What is a Hotwife?

There seems to be a lot of confusion and discussion over exactly what the term "hotwife" means. I have been a hotwife since long before the term was invented so I feel that I am qualified to render an opinion on the subject. Since this is my blog, I guess there is no one to stop me so here goes.

A little research on the internet will yield numerous definitions for the term "hotwife", some of which are pretty good and some which are just plain wrong. One credible web site defines a hotwife this way - "A wife who is sexually uninhibited who has the freedom within her marriage to enjoy sex with both her husband and other men". This is good except it leaves out a crucial part. A hotwife not only has the freedom to enjoy sex with other men but also has the active support and encouragement of her husband in her sexual activities. A true hotwife is fully committed to her husband and never cheats on him or deceives him in any way regarding her sexual desires or exploits. This is something that they do together, whether the husband is actually present during the sexual activity or not.

Simply put, the true hotwife couple are very much in love with each other and have progressed in their relationship to the point where it is based upon mutual love, caring, and commitment, not exclusive personal possession of their partner's sexuality. Most people recognize that sex is not love. The hotwife couple have incorporated this philosophy into their day-to-day relationship and have achieved a level of honesty and trust well beyond what is typical in most marital relationships.

Indeed there is a lot more to be said on the subject and you can be sure that we will be discussing this in more detail in the future. In fact, one of the reasons I started this website is to facilitate real discussion on the hotwife lifestyle and what it entails in real life, not in the fantasy world of pornography websites. I hope that members will put forward their questions and opinions on my discussion forum.

I do love being a hotwife and I wouldn't change it for the world. In fact, today I was a particularly happy hotwife. I have a friend, Sam, who called me last night to tell me that he would be in town today and would like to stop by and see me, if I was interested of course. In fact, I was not only interested, but delighted as he is a really fun guy and I hadn't seen him for a while. I did have some spare time this morning. My husband, Mike, was away at work but he likes Sam too and would be excited to hear all about it when he got home.

Anyway, Sam dropped by and we spent some wonderful quality time together. We even set up the video camera and took some video of the encounter for Mike to watch later. Sam and I go back a long time and have had a lot of great times together. When I have a chance, I'll write the story of how Sam and I have gotten to know each other so well over the past few years.
